Transportation
The Transportation Team coordinates transportation services for eligible Public Schools of Brookline students. This includes:
- Regular pupil transportation for students who live 1.5 miles or more from their assigned school
- Transportation for English Language Learners and Special Education students, as approved by the School Committee (PDF) or as required by the Massachusetts Department of Education
Eastern Bus Company operates four (4) yellow school buses for home-to-school transportation, athletics, and field trips.
RSC Transportation provides both in-town and out-of-town student services transportation, including routes that cannot be serviced by standard yellow school buses.

Residents in the Baker and Hayes school zones attending Brookline High School (BHS) are invited to participate in a free transportation service to and from BHS.
To ensure efficient service, families must register and complete a survey. This helps determine consistent ridership and the number of buses needed.
Pickup and drop-off times will be finalized after registration closes and ridership is confirmed. Bus stops are expected to serve students within approximately a 0.34-mile radius.
Bus Schedule:
- Early arrival: 7:05–7:10 AM (before Z Block)
- Morning arrival: 8:05–8:10 AM
- Regular departure: 3:00–3:05 PM
- Late departure: 4:00–4:05 PM
