MCAS Family Portal
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has recently launched a new MCAS Family Portal, which will provide families with online access to their child's MCAS results.
For the first time, families will be able to view preliminary results from the Spring 2026 MCAS assessments before the start of the school year. The portal will also include results from previous years, when available. Final 2026 results, including Student Growth Percentiles, will be available in late September.
To access the new portal, families will need a unique registration code for each student. Instructions for accessing your student's code are below.
Because results are being released in the summer, educators have not yet had an opportunity to review them and will not be available to answer questions about individual student results at this time. Once school resumes and final results become available, educators will be better positioned to consider MCAS results alongside other information about each student's learning and progress.
Where do I find my student's registration code?
Registration codes can be found in the Aspen Parent Portal in the Documents section. Follow the steps below to access.
- Log in to the Aspen Parent Portal
- Select the Family Tab in the upper left corner
- Select your student
- Select the Documents tab on the left side, then select the Documents sub-header again
- From the list, select the document titled MCAS Family Portal Registration Code (sort the list by Name or Upload Date if your student has lots of documents)
- Use the arrows in the upper right corner to toggle to your next student if applicable
- Use your registration code to create your MCAS Family Portal account.

Once you have your registration code, visit the MCAS Family Portal and enter it with your student’s date of birth to register. You only need your student's registration code when creating your account. Once your account is created, you can log back into the portal and view results at any time.
What if I have more than one student?
- Each student will have a unique registration code.
- Use one of the registration codes to create your account, then use the registration code for each additional student to add them to your existing account.

Why don't I see a registration code letter for my student?
- Students who have not yet taken MCAS will not have registration codes. Following this year’s MCAS administration, registration information will be provided to families of newly assessed students.
- At this time, the Public Schools of Brookline have registration codes for students in current Grades 4 – 12 who were included in our official student count last year (School Year 2025-26).
- If your student is new to Public Schools of Brookline, took MCAS in another Massachusetts district, and you do not see a code, please submit this form and a member of the PSB team will be in touch with you.
Why don't I see my student's Growth Percentile for School Year 2025-26?
As of mid-August, the Spring 2026 test results posted are preliminary. Final results, including Student Growth Percentiles, will be available in late September. Families will receive communication from the district when final results are available.
What if my student has tested in multiple districts?
The MCAS Family Portal creates a single place for all of a student’s MCAS assessments, regardless of where they tested. Once you have registered your student to your account, you will see all future assessments, no matter where the test is administered.
