Substitutes

Brookline is Hiring Substitute Teachers

Brookline accepts applications for per-diem substitutes year-round.***

Enjoy a flexible schedule and competitive wages while working in a diverse, highly sought-after public school district. If you are considering subbing for work experience in an educational setting, transitioning back to employment outside the home, supplementing your income, or seeking an opportunity while in between jobs or schooling, please consider the Public Schools of Brookline (PSB).

PSB serves approximately 7,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12. We operate eight elementary (K–8) schools, one high school, and the Early Education Program (BEEP) in the Town of Brookline. Our substitute model is a traditional on-call daily assignment system using Frontline (AESOP). The Frontline platform allows substitutes to select assignments and often schedule work ahead of time.

The Public Schools of Brookline is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their teaching or practice to the diversity and excellence of the PSB community.
