Welcome to the homepage of the Brookline School Committee (BSC). The BSC consists of 9 members who are elected town-wide to three-year terms of service.
Regular meetings are generally held every other Thursday night during the school year at 6:00 p.m. on the 5th floor of Town Hall. Meetings are also broadcast and streamed live by Brookline Interactive Group.

The main responsibilities of the BSC, as defined by state statute, include evaluating the superintendent, reviewing and approving budgets for public education in the district, and establishing educational goals and policies for the schools in the district.

To support these functions, BSC members serve on a variety of subcommittees and act as liaisons to many local organizations. You can find more information by using the navigation tabs on the left.
