Review Brookline School Committee meeting materials.

The main responsibilities of the BSC, as defined by state statute, include evaluating the superintendent, reviewing and approving budgets for public education in the district, and establishing educational goals and policies for the schools in the district.

Read DESE’s Advisory on School Governance (opens in new tab) for more information about school management and leadership.

To support these functions, BSC members serve on a variety of subcommittees and act as liaisons to many local organizations. You can find more information by using the navigation tabs on the left.
