The Operations Department is responsible for safety and security, facility maintenance and repair, capital projects, use of school buildings program, transportation, and a liaison for other Town Departments.

School Building Services

The School Building Services Department provides custodial, operations and delivery, special events, and maintenance support to all public schools in Brookline. The department also oversees the Use of School Building Rental Program. Learn more on the School Building Services page.

Transportation

The Transportation Department coordinates regular pupil transportation for eligible public school students who reside 1½ miles or more from their assigned school, as well as transportation for English Language Learners and Special Education students, as approved by the School Committee or required by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
